👋 I’m Lukiih (pronounced “lucky” 🍀), the creator behind Lists by Lukiih.

I share practical travel content and rank experiences around the world using a coherent ranking system.

Why Lists by Lukiih?

I launched Lists by Lukiih in late 2022 to create travel content with less fluff because I enjoy sharing my adventures in a practical way.

After traveling to more than a dozen destinations, I faced a problem when planning my trips: I couldn’t easily tell which “top things to do” were truly remarkable experiences.

I wanted to more honestly share experiences I genuinely found worthwhile. In 2024, I spent several months creating a consistent rating system that outputs a clear and ranked recommendation list by destination.

As of January 2025, I have rated 250 experiences across 20 destinations and plan to continue sharing my reviews as I travel more.

I self-fund my trips and don’t receive sponsorship, so my reviews always reflect my honest opinions.

Lukiih’s Travel Style

The travel guides and trip planners on Lists by Lukiih are created for those who appreciate practical information presented in a well-structured format. My website is based on my own trip experiences, so my guides are especially great for those with similar travel styles:

  • 🏃🏻‍♀️ Active Travelers – Most of my recommendations on great things to do are active and sometimes adventurous. I like being in nature, but I don’t necessarily like camping. I tend to recommend activities like stunning hikes and beautiful bike routes.
  • 🗓️ Efficient Use of Time – I believe in making the most out of my trips. Many of my itineraries are efficient and packed with activities, but they can be easily adjusted for more downtime.
  • 💰 Mid-Range Budgets – I average around $100 daily. While I provide budgeting advice based on firsthand experience and thorough research, I don’t focus on budget travel.
  • ✌🏻 Non-Solo Traveler – I’m a big fan of shared travel. I travel with friends and occasionally by myself, so my recommendations, tips, and budget reflect that type of setup. I don’t travel with kids or a big family, so I can’t realistically write about those experiences.
  • 🇺🇸 American & English-Speaking – As an Asian-American from the US, my travel lists are created with an American lens. My insights around money, visas, cultural norms, etc., are most helpful for English speakers trying to navigate destinations from an American perspective.
