🍀 Lukiih’s Verdict

I visited the Místico Arenal Hanging Bridges twice during my trip, and I recommend it if you’re visiting La Fortuna.

• The park is touristy and accessible (the trails are paved), but it’s still home to a large number of sloths, toucans, monkeys, and rare frogs. Several of the “hanging bridges” are amazingly high and long, which gives you a unique bird-eye view of the park. On a clear day, it also provides one of the best views of Arenal Volcano.
• At $32 per person, the entrance fee is moderately priced. The experience becomes expensive with an Arenal Hanging Bridges tour guide. I visited it once on my own and once with a guide, and I saw significantly more wildlife with a guide.
• Minimal preparation is required. You can buy tickets at the door, and you don’t need to dress for a challenging hike since the trails are very well maintained.
